Mahmoud Kadkhodaei received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology (IUT), Iran, in 2007. Meanwhile, from 2005 to 2006, he took a short-term research program on shape memory alloys at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada. Dr. Kadkhodaei joined Department of Mechanical Engineering at IUT as an assistant professor in 2007 and is currently a professor of the department. His research interests have been mainly concentrated on shape memory alloys, additive manufacturing, biomechanics, and metal forming. Prof. Kadkhodaei was distinguished as an outstanding Ph.D. holder of IUT in 2008, won ISME awards for supervision of the best BS project and MS thesis in the whole country in 2010 and 2015, respectively, received the IUT teaching excellence award in 2013, and was distinguished as an outstanding supervisor of IUT in 2017 and as an outstanding researcher of IUT with international collaborations in 2019.
