MSc Program at the University of L'Aquila in Italy
The University of L'Aquila (UNIVAQ) in Italy holds the joint MSc programme “Mechanics of Structures and Fluid/Structure Interactions” with University of Strasbourg (UNISTRA) in France starting September 2019. The programme involves the study of typical themes in the modeling of structures and of their interactions with fluids, and it is carried out completely in English. This programme is organized in structured mobility in collaboration with University of Strasbourg and provides a double degree (Italy/France). The students enrolled at UNIVAQ perform the first year at the University of L'Aquila, and the second year, including the development and defense of the thesis with internship, is possible to be conducted at UNISTRA. At the end of the first year, the students are subjected to an evaluation based on the number of earned credits and the average marks. The best selected students are admitted to the second year at UNISTRA. Those who are not admitted or prefer to stay in Italy will not participate in the structured mobility with double title and regularly perform the second year at UNIVAQ to receive a European degree from the University of L'Aquila.
The whole programme is tuition-free and the student is assumed to be self-funded. While studying at UNIVAQ, the students may reside in either L’Aquila or Giuliano di Roma. In Giuliano di Roma, where the living expenses are lower and are estimated to be 250 Euros monthly, the courses will be offered through e-learning tools including video lectures.
